A "world trending" classical soprano singer will perform at Clipstone Headstocks this weekend.

The iconic landmark was privately purchased in 2020 with the former Power House becoming a quirky music venue for its impressive acoustics and character.

Nottingham-based soprano singer, Lily Taylor-Ward, will perform there on Saturday 16th December for an evening "full of festive merriment and music".

Lily's talents became a viral sensation during the COVID-19 pandemic after she began singing for key workers. She has also previously appeared as Maria in West Side Story and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera.

Co-owner of the Headstocks, Stuart Mills, says "free refreshments" will be on offer during the event.

"Tickets are now £10 and this includes free mulled wine and mince pies. There's even the chance to have a free guided tour of the building, including our new WW1 display and bike showroom. It's not to be missed."

Money raised from the event will be used to continue restoring the site, a recent project to replace broken windows has cost thousands of pounds.
