Newark and Sherwood will be moved up into tier four restrictions from 31st December 2020.

It means beauty salons, hairdressers, gyms and other non-essential outlets will have to close and people must not leave their homes unless they have a "reasonable excuse" such as education, work or exercise.

  • Indoor entertainment venues must close
  • Hospitality is closed except for takeaway, drive-thru or delivery
  • Gyms and indoor swimming pools, indoor sports courts and dance studios must close
